With the guidance and support of local fused glass artist, Susan Miller from Passionate Glass, PBTC volunteers have created these pretty handmade ornaments. Each ornament is ready to hang with a white ribbon, protected in a 4X4 “ gift box and includes a gift insert card. All proceeds will support the work of PBTC to protect bird habitat on local BTC Nature Reserves and promote education about the need to protect bird habitat and bird species at risk on the Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula. $30 per ornament, 5 maximum per customer. Orders of more than 5 will be refunded for any more than 5 items.
Found year-round on the Saugeen Peninsula, the red-bellied woodpecker is a welcome sight at the bird feeder during the winter months and is likely to continue visiting the feeder during the summer as long as the seed remains stocked. Its call is a rolling kwirrr, which can be heard at great distances. This species gets its name for a small reddish-tinged patch on the belly, which is seldom actually visible.
Delivery: After payment, a PBTC volunteer will contact you to arrange for delivery. Delivery can be arranged for these areas: Saugeen (Bruce) Peninsula, Owen Sound, Southampton, Port Elgin, Kitchener/Waterloo. Cost of deliveries requiring a courier service will be the responsibility of the customer.
